The chocolate Goldendoodles also love children, however, they don’t make good guard dogs. They will warn you when someone comes near and then welcome the stranger cheerfully.

This breed doesn’t shed, so it is a good choice for those who have allergies. Their coat is soft and smooth to the touch. They don’t bark a lot, so you don’t need to worry about disturbing your neighbors. They will bark to inform you when there is something or someone around your home. If they are left alone outside for too long, they will dig and create holes throughout your yard.

Diet

Provide your chocolate Goldendoodle with a healthy diet. Failure to provide them with high quality food can have a negative impact on their health. The kibble should be rich in meat, complex carbs and healthy fats. It should be suitable for your dog’s age, activity level and size.

Not all chocolate Goldendoodles will like the same type of kibble. Follow the feeding guide recommendation for the kibble you have. The smallest kinds of Goldendoodles might eat more than 1 ½ cups of food.  Standard Goldendoodles can eat double the amount. You can ask the vet for advice about the right amount of kibble for your pet.

Use a cotton ball dipped in an ear cleaning fluid to clean his ears. Wipe only the outer ears and don’t insert anything in his ear canal because this can cause damage and pain to your dog.
